The sole width and larger head of Ping G5 Irons allows the center of gravity to be positioned lower and further for accurate, consistent shots and higher launching. A thinner, larger CTP dampens vibration for a pleasing, solid feel and stabilizes the face. The combination of forgiveness and feel make the G5 iron the most advanced irons to date.

I would suggest these Ping G5 irons to any golfer who wants to improve and enjoy his game. Ping golf clubs are legendary. Their equipment is good quality and they offer well thought out designs. The G5 iron set is a noticeable improvement over the G2. If I were to be offered a brand new set of golf drivers today, I would pass and hang on to my G5 irons instead!

I have so much confidence in my G5 iron set that it is hard to imagine any golf clubs being superior! I had an iron set that had been purchased for me many years ago and I was long overdue for new properly fitted irons. I chose a stiff shaft GW and 5 though LW. They have been the greatest iron set! Very forgiving and even the longer golf clubs feel amazing.

For full shots, you get great distance, feel, and forgiveness. What more can you ask for! When you are looking to re-club chose Ping G5 Irons. With the irons, I selected the Hybrid, G5 driver, and 3 wood. I have been experiencing shoulder problems and was diagnosed with Bursitis. The recommendation from my doctor (who believe it or not hits the links a time or two!) was that I should change to graphite. I took his advice choosing the G5 Irons.

I have swung nearly every golf club but none comes close to PING. I have had great success with them. The Ping G5 Irons are forgiving, straight, and you have give to play the ball. PING Irons, in my opinion are some of the best golf clubs available.

PING is one of the largest remaining American manufacturers of golf clubs. In 1967, Ping’s inventor Solheim, due to an increasing demand for his putters, quit his day job to concentrate on development of Ping golf clubs. Today, the manufacturer produces clubs in every category: putters, drivers, hybrids, wedges, fairway woods, and irons. You can tell a Ping Iron set is an authentic brand of high-quality golf equipment by looking at the hosel. It should display a serial number on the part of the clubhead located where the shaft is secure and fitted.

When you are looking to upgrade your iron set choosing iron shafts is all about getting lighter. Ping G5 Irons put the fun back in your golf swing! Golf clubs differ even within the same model and brand. Perhaps the most important facet of club selection is length. Playing with golf clubs that are too short or long can spoil a good game, which gofers refer to as ruining a nice walk. Clubs are generally manufactured with a standard length estimated to fit nearly 80 percent of golfers. Your G5 iron set can be custom fit by a pro shop for any necessary changes.

A key component of Ping G5 iron set selection is in the flexibility of the golf club shaft, defined as, Regular, Senior, Ladies, Stiff, and Extra Stiff. A rule of thumb is softer metals such as alloys or aluminum provides more control making them a better match for beginners. Advanced players use club heads manufactured from tungsten, titanium, or steel. These harder materials increase distance and pinpoint accuracy.

Ping has a great fitting system. Custom fitting was born in the 1960s when PING inventor, Karsten Solheim aided PGA Tour professionals in improving their games by adjusting the pro’s equipment to fit their swings. Several players went on to win soon after the adjustments were made. Shortly thereafter, Solheim began work on his famous PING Color Code System.

The black dot on Ping G5 Irons represents grip sizes and lie angles for the Ping customized fit. When you get a proper fitting, a fitter watches as you drive balls into a net. Based on the fitter’s recommendations and analysis from a computer that records relevant information about the performance, you will be equipped with knowledge and tips how to tweak your game.

In minutes you can get custom fitted at ping.com to get the right spec. G5 Irons can be bent especially for your fit starting at black dot. The Ping fit test gets you in the ballpark on the ideal iron set. The golf pro had my club hits with the black dot to hit the ball with a natural draw.

Among the great innovations seen in the sport of golf are Ping G5 Irons. Cast irons are designed to fit the golfer. Fifty years ago, engineer Karsten Solheim, invented Ping 1A in his garage. At the age of 42, Solheim took up the game when he was asked to join a foursome with his colleagues at General Electric. His main problem was putting, so he designed a revolutionary putter and the rest is history!

The golf clubs got its name Ping from the sound the ball made as it struck metal. With his clever golf club design, in place of attaching the shaft at the heel of the blade, the creative inventor attached it in the center. Applying scientific principles, he transferred much of the club head weight to the perimeter. Sports Illustrated named the Ping 1A the “musical putter” for the sweet sound it made.

Today, the craftsman legacy lives on. Ping G5 Irons are built for forgiveness. Enhanced perimeter weight causes the G5 Iron to be extremely forgiving. With the moment of inertia increased, distance loss is decreased, and off center shots become straighter. From shafts, lie, loft, length, and grips, you can even get a special sole grind on your iron set! Ping makes a great iron on which the heads are manufactured to last seemingly forever and are easily refinished!
